We're looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our UK Hub Quality team at Par Moor Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a laboratory environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. You'll provide testing support across a range of routine approved test methods, ensuring samples are processed correctly and results are accurately entered and reported through the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Working closely with the Laboratory Supervisor and wider laboratory team, you'll help maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance while developing your technical laboratory skills and experience.

This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until June 2027 and operates on a 74 shift pattern, working 2 weeks days followed by 2 weeks nights.
Laboratory Testing & Reporting
Carrying out routine laboratory tests and procedures under supervision.
Supporting testing activities in accordance with approved laboratory methods.
Accurately entering samples and reporting results using LIMS.
Ensuring all laboratory data is recorded accurately and within agreed timescales.
Following approved test methods and standard laboratory procedures.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Working in accordance with ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental standards.
Following all company Health & Safety procedures and initiatives.
Recognising and reporting any issues that could impact testing, results or data accuracy.
Working safely in accordance with risk assessments, COSHH requirements and Take 5 procedures.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.
Teamwork & Communication
Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Supporting laboratory operations to meet business requirements and deadlines.
Escalating anomalies, errors and concerns appropriately.
Contributing positively as an active member of the laboratory team.

Desirable Criteria
Previous laboratory or quality control experience.
Experience using LIMS or similar laboratory management systems.
Knowledge of approved laboratory test methods and standard operating procedures.
Understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
Experience working within manufacturing, minerals, production or testing environments.
