Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist, Labor Relations Specialist, or in a comparable role with direct union interaction.
- At least two years of experience interpreting and administering contract language.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, particularly the National Labor Relations Act ( NLRA ) and the Fair Labor Standards Act ( FLSA ).
- Ability to acquire and synthesize new knowledge that translates to improved operational effectiveness and competencies that support the position’s necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
- Additional experience beyond the minimum requirements.
- Certificate in Labor Relations.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- The person in this position needs to move about both inside the office and at other locations where interviews and meetings are conducted.
- Frequently operates a computer for extended periods of time.
- Frequently communicates with others over the phone and in person; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Ability to speak clearly and communicate proficiently in English.
