Responsibilities
- Supervise day to day operations of the single cell sequencing lab
- Manage and train lab technicians and junior scientists
- Coordinate and schedule project workflows and sample processing timelines
- Maintain lab equipment, service contracts, and calibration logs
- Order and track consumables, reagents, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with biosafety (BSL 2), quality (e.g., ISO13485), and data integrity standards
- Oversee sample intake, tracking, QC, and documentation
- Liaise with bioinformatics, R&D, and commercial teams for project updates
- Develop and implement SOPs and participate in audits or certifications
- Support method optimization and protocol transfers
Requirements
- M.S. in Molecular Biology, Genomics, or related field (PhD a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in a molecular biology or sequencing lab
- Profound experience with single cell sequencing and other NGS protocols
- Hands on experience with NGS workflows
- Prior lab management or team coordination experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of LIMS
- Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills
