KYC Operations Analyst 1, Citi Commercial Bank (UAE Nationals Only)

Job overview

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, validate, and complete KYC records and supporting documentation.
• Research company information and news from internal and external sources.
• Coordinate with relationship management and compliance until final approval.
• Maintain workflow tools and databases with accurate statuses, fields, and commentary.
• Meet daily targets within service-level agreement timeframes.
• Escalate discrepancies, negative news, and high-risk cases.
• Assist with projects and remediation activity.
• Support new joiners and manage the makers team when the team lead is absent.

Communication and reporting

• Provide huddle updates and manage upward communication about escalations, issues, and concerns.
• Track daily time logs and report operational metrics for management reporting.
• Maintain accurate time tracking in the PTS system.

Knowledge and experience

• One to two years of experience in banking, finance, or law.
• Experience in control, risk, compliance, AML, or KYC is advantageous.
• Knowledge of European Union regulatory KYC and AML requirements.
• Ability to work according to business timings.
• ACAMS certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A university degree is preferred in business, finance, mathematics, economics, engineering, optimization, or law.

Skills

• Strong negotiation, written communication, verbal communication, research, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight time frames.
• Ability to build professional relationships and work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
• French, German, or Arabic language skills are advantageous.
