Responsibilities
- Develop and implement knowledge services strategies, policies, governance frameworks, and best practices aligned with organizational objectives and knowledge management goals
- Lead enterprise knowledge management initiatives, including knowledge capture, organization, classification, publishing, retention, archival, and continuous improvement processes
- Manage knowledge repositories, digital libraries, enterprise wikis, document management systems, collaboration platforms, and self service knowledge portals to improve information accessibility and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with operations, information technology, human resources, learning and development, product management, customer success, communications, compliance, and executive leadership to identify knowledge needs and deliver effective knowledge services
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including knowledge utilization, content accuracy, search effectiveness, user satisfaction, knowledge contribution rates, content freshness, and service performance
- Develop knowledge governance standards, taxonomy frameworks, metadata models, content lifecycle processes, version control procedures, and quality assurance practices
- Support organizational learning by developing knowledge sharing programs, communities of practice, lessons learned initiatives, and expertise directories that promote collaboration and continuous improvement
- Analyze knowledge gaps, user behavior, service requests, support trends, and business requirements to identify opportunities for content optimization and service enhancements
- Ensure compliance with information governance policies, security requirements, regulatory standards, intellectual property guidelines, and organizational data management practices
- Utilize Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), Content Management Systems (CMS), Document Management Systems (DMS), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, AI powered search technologies, and analytics platforms to manage knowledge operations and measure effectiveness
- Prepare knowledge management reports, executive dashboards, service performance analyses, governance documentation, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop knowledge specialists, information analysts, content managers, and cross functional teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Knowledge Management, Library and Information Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Master's degree or professional certifications in Knowledge Management, Information Governance, Library Science, Content Management, Project Management, or equivalent are advantageous
- 5+ years of experience in knowledge management, information management, documentation, content management, knowledge services, or related roles
- 2+ years of experience managing knowledge management programs, information services teams, or enterprise content initiatives preferred
- Strong understanding of knowledge management principles, information architecture, taxonomy development, content governance, collaboration platforms, digital workplace technologies, and organizational learning practices
- Experience with Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft 365, CMS, DMS, ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, enterprise search platforms, and analytics tools
- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, project management, and problem solving skills
