About the Role
Marriott International is seeking a Kitchen Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment and building systems at Palm West Beach, Dubai.

Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and kitchen equipment
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics for plumbing and HVAC
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance
- Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies
- Train and mentor other engineers as necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency in at least three of: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, general building management
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks

Position Summary
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Display advanced ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Display proficiency in multiple engineering categories.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of MEP systems.
Responsibilities
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio).
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts.
- Assure daily activities are communicated to other shifts.
- Display advanced ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Display above average engineering operations skills.
- Display proficiency in at least three categories.
- Safely perform highly complex repairs.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background.
- Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration.
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
- No supervisory experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
Required Qualifications
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
