Kitchen Stewarding Associate

Position Summary

Stewarding Duties

• Operate and maintain dishwashing, hand-wash, pot-scrubbing, and trash-compacting equipment.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
• Clean dishes and silverware using detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the three-compartment sink.
• Inspect, stack, and rewash items as needed, including racked items and silverware.
• Empty and maintain trash cans and dumpster areas, clean and mop assigned areas, and dispose of glass properly.
• Break down cardboard and place cardboard and other recyclables in recycling bins.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report incidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Use clear and professional language, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
• No license or certification is required.
