Job Overview
Maintain a clean, organised, hygienic, and well-functioning kitchen environment.
Support chefs and kitchen staff with cleaning duties and basic food preparation.
Training will be provided, making the role suitable for individuals developing culinary and hospitality skills.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Assist with peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients under supervision.
- Keep kitchen areas tidy and organised throughout the shift.
- Collect and dispose of waste according to hygiene regulations.
- Fetch ingredients or equipment for chefs during busy service periods.
- Monitor cleaning-supply stock and notify management when replenishment is needed.
- Follow health and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
Qualifications
- Prior food preparation, cooking, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is required.
- Work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate good organisation and attention to detail.
- Be flexible to work busy service hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
