Role overview

Schedule

• The role is full-time at 40 hours per week.
• The schedule is five days out of seven, with bank holidays and every third weekend off during school closure and holidays.

Pay

• Salary is £27,315.60 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team.
• Wash dishes and operate a large commercial plate and pot wash.
• Keep the kitchen and dining rooms clean and safe.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the school's pantry, kitchen and dining facilities.

Requirements

• No formal education is required; a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects are required.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Own transport is essential because the role is at a remote location.
• An Enhanced DBS check, including a Barred List check, is required for successful applicants.
• Appointment is subject to satisfactory professional references.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus.
