Role Overview

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen and laundry equipment to support daily operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders to minimize equipment downtime.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
• Identify maintenance improvements and efficient operating practices that support energy conservation.
• Follow health, safety, and hotel engineering standards during repairs.
• Work with Kitchen and Laundry teams to resolve technical issues and maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Perform other assigned maintenance duties and contribute as a reliable team member.

Requirements

• Vocational certificate or diploma in engineering, mechanical, electrical, or a related field, with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and mechanical and electrical fault troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull items up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms, with frequent bending, walking, and standing.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and basic plumbing.
• Proficiency operating and maintaining commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, basic welding, brazing, and occupational safety hazard regulations.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across departments.
