- Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping vegetables
- Keep kitchen areas clean and organized, including counters, floors, and equipment
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using manual or automated equipment
- Ensure proper storage of food items and supplies
- Dispose of waste properly and help maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed
- Assist in receiving and storing kitchen deliveries
- Follow food safety guidelines and hygiene practices
- Perform other duties as assigned by the chef or supervisor
Requirements
- Prior kitchen or restaurant experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety
- Good physical stamina – able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- 2 years kitchen experience required
- Hindi, Malayalam, or English language proficiency
