Kitchen Assistant

Assist with basic food preparation, including preparing ingredients and plating food.

Support the lunchtime service and serve food and drinks in a friendly and professional manner.

Keep the kitchen, serving areas and dining spaces clean, tidy and well presented.

Support the Catering Manager with opening, lunchtime service and closing duties.

Wash up, clean equipment and ensure workspaces are cleared and organised.

Restock food, drinks, consumables and cleaning supplies.

Help maintain appropriate stock rotation and reduce food and material waste.

Follow food hygiene, allergen awareness, cleaning and health and safety procedures.

Report any equipment faults, hazards, stock issues or other concerns to the Catering Manager.

Support other reasonable catering duties as required.

A friendly, approachable and positive attitude.

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Good attention to cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.

Able to work effectively as part of a small team.

Comfortable working in a busy environment during lunchtime service.

Good communication skills.

Able to follow instructions and established procedures.

A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in.

Previous catering or kitchen experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential as training will be provided.
