Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring
- Assist chefs with food plating and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, including dishwashing and surface cleaning
- Receive and store food deliveries, organizing inventory and rotating stock
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and food processors
- Support the cooking team during peak hours by expediting orders
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Monitor food stock levels and inform head chef of shortages
- Assist with setup and breakdown of the kitchen at beginning and end of each shift
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistent food quality
