The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to other. Kettle Coordinator II position is a short-term contract position. The incumbent is responsible for oversight of several Christmas Kettle locations in a given geographical zone area. Zone locations include shopping malls, grocery stores and retail outlets.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: The incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties. • Attend a day of training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign • Provide support in getting Kettles to zone locations prior to volunteer arrival at Campaign onset • Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion • Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to City/Assistant Coordinator • Orient and remind volunteers on proper Kettle handling and duties as required • Supervise, support and assign (as required) Kettle Volunteers throughout the Campaign • Participate in the recruitment of new volunteers • Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently • Communicate daily with ATL partner for effective transition • Ensure timesheets and mileage reports are submitted accurately and timely (weekly basis) • Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received. • Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs. • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS: • Work environment is typically in malls/stores • Standing for long periods will be required and exposure to cold weather
