Fellowship overview
The KAUST Global Fellowship Program seeks outstanding, independently minded scientists and engineers for an early-career research fellowship.
Fellows receive funding, mentorship, and independence to pursue original research programmes at KAUST for three years.
Research should align with strategic priorities including food, water, energy, health, artificial intelligence, and Red Sea exploration.
Fellowship activities
- Lead an independent research programme and develop an innovative research proposal.
- Conduct research using KAUST's advanced scientific infrastructure and facilities.
- Collaborate with faculty, academic partners, and industrial partners.
- Participate in leadership, teaching, and mentoring development programmes.
Eligibility requirements
- Applicants must be final-year PhD candidates or PhD graduates within the last four years.
- For Call 2027, the PhD must have been awarded in January 2023 or later.
- Applicants may have up to two first-author or joint-first-author papers in a peer-reviewed journal.
- Two referees must be able to comment on the applicant's potential for independent research.
