We are seeking a Kannada Language Expert to review and create high-quality AI training content. You will evaluate AI-generated Kannada outputs for accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness, and provide precise written feedback.

Responsibilities
- Review AI generated Kannada content and/or create high quality Kannada reference content
- Evaluate language quality and step by step reasoning, providing precise written feedback
- Assess outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, and adherence to prompt
- Identify errors in meaning, mistranslation, register, ambiguity, and logical consistency
- Fact check claims when needed
- Write high quality rewrites and model answers demonstrating best practices in Kannada writing
- Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and overall quality
- Develop AI training content: create prompts and gold standard Kannada answers across multiple domains
- Optimize AI performance by evaluating and ranking AI outputs
- Detect unsafe or misleading content, factual hallucinations, bias, and policy risk language
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Kannada/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Native or near native Kannada proficiency (reading and writing)
- Strong professional English proficiency (minimum C1)
- 3+ years professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language focused work
- Deep understanding of Kannada grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
- Comfortable handling multiple registers and regional variation
- High attention to detail
- Reliable and self directed
- Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric based evaluation strongly preferred

About This Role
- In this hourly, remote contractor role, you will work as a Kannada Language Specialist (SME) to review AI generated Kannada content and/or create high quality Kannada reference content.
- You will evaluate language quality and step by step reasoning while providing precise written feedback.
- This role is with a fast growing AI Data Services company delivering training data for many of the world's largest AI companies and foundation model labs.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Linguistics, Kannada/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Native or near native Kannada proficiency (reading and writing required).
- Strong professional proficiency in English (minimum C1) to follow guidelines and provide detailed feedback in English.
- 3+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language focused work.
- Deep understanding of Kannada grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style.
- Comfortable handling multiple registers (formal/informal), regional variation, and audience adaptation.
- High attention to detail when spotting subtle meaning shifts, hallucinated claims, or culturally awkward phrasing.
- Reliable, self directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric based evaluation is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

- Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI outputs to improve fluency, correctness, tone match, and cultural appropriateness.
