Key skills for this role
1-2 years of related experience as an Underground Utility Locator.
Knowledge of underground utility construction methods, survey practices, CAD software, GPS, GIS, and/or experience in the oilfield industry is considered an asset.
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
A strong commitment to safety performance and the ability to meet company Drug and Alcohol Policy requirements.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, travel throughout Alberta, B.C., and Saskatchewan as required, adapt to varied work schedules, and walk long distances on uneven terrain while periodically carrying up to 50 lbs.
Valid Alberta Driver’s License and a clean 3-year driver’s abstract to use company vehicles.
The hourly range for this position is $23 to $28 per hour. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
