Position Overview
ARES is seeking a Junior Telemetry Technician to support Fixed Telemetry (TM) operations and maintenance activities supporting launch and mission operations at Wallops Flight Facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate andmaintaintelemetry ground station equipment and RF/SAT communications systems.
- Support operation and maintenance of telemetry systems including antennas, receivers, demodulators, bit synchronizers, recording devices, and ancillary interfaces.
- Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on telemetry systems and associated equipment.
- Interpret technical schematics and system drawings.
- Utilize electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, power meters, and signal generators.
- Maintain operational logs and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Support mission operations under supervision of senior technical personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company and NASA procedures and policies.
- Support physical installation and maintenance activities around antenna systems and telemetry equipment.
