Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Junior Copier Technician with basic experience servicing copiers, multifunction printers, and office printing equipment.
The candidate will assist with installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure copiers, multifunction printers, and printers.
- Perform basic copier hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Carry out preventive maintenance according to service schedules.
- Diagnose paper jams, image-quality problems, feeding issues, and basic mechanical faults.
- Replace toner, drums, developer units, rollers, fusers, maintenance kits, and other service parts.
- Assist senior technicians with complex repairs.
- Configure basic network printing and scanning, including scan-to-folder, scan-to-email, and address-book settings.
- Install printer drivers on customer computers.
- Clean and generally service machines.
- Record meter readings and service details, and maintain reports for each customer visit.
- Inform the service coordinator about required spare parts and consumables.
- Confirm equipment is functioning correctly before completing service calls and maintain professional behaviour at customer locations.
Requirements
- One to three years of copier or printer technical experience is preferred.
- Diploma or technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical, IT, Computer Hardware, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of copier mechanical and electronic systems.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and printer configuration.
- Ability to diagnose basic hardware faults.
- Willingness to learn new copier models and technologies.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently after training.
- A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
