Position Summary

Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers in bakery and food and beverage operations.

Maintain food presentation, preparation quantities, kitchen supplies, food safety records, and product quality.

Kitchen Responsibilities

  • Create decorative food displays and ensure correct portions, arrangement, and garnishing.
  • Monitor prepared food quantities and communicate menu specials or unavailable items to service staff.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items and assist cooks and kitchen staff with required tasks.
  • Monitor kitchen supply and food stock levels.
  • Maintain food safety and product logs and report products that do not meet specifications.

People and Safety Responsibilities

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
  • Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions and complete safety training.

Preferred Qualification

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
  • Four to six years of related work experience.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • No license or certification is specified.

Schedule and Workplace

  • The position is full time and not remote.
  • The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking, bending and reaching, and moving items up to 25 pounds.
