Responsibilities
- Support the Sommelier with daily beverage service and wine recommendations
- Assist guests with wine selections and food pairings under the guidance of the Sommelier
- Ensure wines are presented and served in accordance with fine dining service standards
- Assist with cellar organisation, stock rotation, inventory management, and replenishment
- Support the maintenance and accuracy of the wine list
- Receive and organise wine deliveries while ensuring proper storage conditions
- Participate in regular product tastings and training sessions to continuously build wine knowledge
- Work closely with the front of house team to enhance the guest experience and maximize beverage sales
- Maintain excellent product knowledge across wines, spirits, and other beverages offered by the restaurant
Requirements
- 1 2 years experience in a wine focused role (Junior Sommelier, Wine Waiter, or similar) within fine dining or luxury hospitality
- WSET Level 1 certification required (WSET Level 2 is an advantage)
- Genuine passion for wine and desire to develop professionally
- Basic knowledge of major wine producing regions, grape varieties, and food pairing principles
- Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
- Professional presentation and strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume luxury restaurant environment
- Based in Dubai and available for a trail shift

Job Overview

- The Junior Sommelier supports the Sommelier and front of house management team in delivering an exceptional beverage experience to guests.
