Overview of the role
PolicyMe is modernizing insurance to make it simpler, more accessible, and customer-first.
The role supports a new AI and machine learning product line for the insurance broker experience.
The engineer will work across frontend, backend, and AI/ML initiatives in a remote-first environment.
What you will do
- Develop full-stack features using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Integrate AI models and APIs for document processing, data extraction, and recommendation engines.
- Build scalable backend services and intuitive user experiences for AI-powered workflows.
- Participate in architecture planning, code reviews, ideation, and release planning.
- Coordinate feature delivery with QA and other teams and help unblock cross-team dependencies.
- Contribute to quarterly planning, hackathons, engineering guilds, and AI tooling experiments.
What we are looking for
- Strong full-stack development skills using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts from coursework, projects, or work experience.
- Hands-on experience or projects involving AI APIs or models, including prompt engineering.
