A fast-growing investment management firm in digital asset markets is hiring a Financial Engineer for its trading and research technology team.
The role sits close to trading and focuses on alpha and signal research systems rather than traditional ticket-based software development or pure machine-learning research.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve alpha and signal research systems.
- Develop software and tooling used directly within investment and trading processes.
- Work with traders and researchers to understand the strategies supported by the technology.
- Use AI tooling extensively to accelerate engineering and research.
- Work with financial and market data to build robust, production-quality systems.
- Develop understanding of trade execution and market structure.
- Solve problems where correctness, robustness, and efficiency are critical.
- Take significant ownership in a small, fast-moving environment.
Requirements
- 0–4 years of commercial experience in software engineering, financial engineering, quantitative development, or a closely related field.
- Strong fundamental software engineering ability.
- Understanding of financial markets, trading, and investment concepts.
