Role Overview
This is a junior, AI-first software engineering role working directly with the CTO.
The engineer will work at a higher level by specifying work, directing AI implementation, reviewing results, and shipping software.
Core Responsibilities
- Turn product ideas into precise PRDs and specifications.
- Direct AI agents to build Pressella and internal tools through decomposition, prompting, review, testing, and delivery.
- Build agent workflows, evaluations, guardrails, and CI systems.
- Read unfamiliar code, find subtle bugs, debug production issues, and improve system safety.
Technology Stack
- The stack includes Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, Next.js, GCP, Cloud Run, Firestore, BigQuery, Terraform, Anthropic APIs, OpenAI APIs, Twilio, and HubSpot.
- The team uses trunk-based development, AI-reviewed pull requests, small TDD commits, and frequently releasable main branches.
Candidate Requirements
- Solid fundamentals in Python or TypeScript are required.
- Real experience driving development with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar is required.
- Clear writing for specifications, commit messages, and incident notes is required.
- Comfort with cloud technologies and Git is required.
- TDD experience or willingness to learn it is required.
- Candidates must be in Dubai or willing to relocate.
Technical Assessment
- Applicants must build a small app for a PR company using AI, publish it in a public GitHub repository, and record an approximately five-minute video explaining the work.
- The assessment evaluates specification thinking, AI direction, output verification, and communication.
