About the Role
Join us as an Automation Software Developer and help shape the future of Nokia’s industry-leading IP routing products, including the 7750 SR. Responsibilities
- Automation software development/sustenance in Pytest/TCL based frameworks, utilizing best coding practices. • Comprehending feature requirements and protocol specifications and translating them to test scenarios. • Create/review test plans, test procedures and infrastructure for adequacy and completeness/correctness • Augment test strategies with real-world customer deployment use cases • Uncover hidden bugs, debug and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) • Proactive attitude towards identifying inefficiencies, and developing tools/automation to optimize workflows • Work with product documentation team for creating and maintaining customer documentation Effectively, one would need to learn and participate in entire product software development cycle. Work closely with different groups within the organization including the Software and Hardware Development teams, Support team and Product Management team in order to drive the feature to completion (ready for GA release).
Qualifications
- You have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates with Bachelor ́s in CS, EE, will be more relevant. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Good knowledge in CS fundamentals - Computer Architecture, Data Structures, Operating System concepts, Algorithm Analysis
- Exposure to Linux and programming languages (preferably scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, shell)
- Proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, programming, good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team.
- Quick learner, self-starter, self-driven
