Junior Scientist or Geologist/ Pre-Construction Sampler

Start, or expand, your career with our North-Central PA team as a J unior Geologist, Scientist or Pre-Construction Sampler , where you’ll gain hands-on field experience and build practical skills on projects across Pennsylvania.

This entry-level opportunity is a great fit for recent graduates who want to build experience in both the field and the office while working with an experienced team.

You’ll have the chance to learn technical sampling and documentation skills, contribute to meaningful client projects, and develop a strong foundation in environmental fieldwork.

This position entails outdoor work year-round, travel to sites in a company vehicle, interacting with the public, and occasional overtime, evening or weekend work, and overnight travel as needed.

• Conduct water, soil, and/or air sampling, site inspections, and other general field services independently and as part of a field team.
• Capture clear, legible, accurate, and legally-defensible field documentation using established documentation procedures in both handwritten and software-based collection methods.
• Calibrate andmaintain a variety of field equipment.
• Prepare project documentation such as client reports, landowner reports, summary tables, photo logs, and maps.
• Build professional working relationships with team members, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Follow all GES and client safety protocols and promptly communicate any safety concerns .
• Support a range of field and office tasks as assigned by the field services manager, project manager, or supervisor.

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Internship, academic fieldwork, or 1+ years of relevant experience is welcome.
