Junior Safety Officer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure immediate corrective action.
• Monitor workforce compliance with PPE and safe work practices.
• Assist with toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing safety training.
• Support investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses and maintain safety records.
• Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and other emergency equipment.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly HSE reports for project management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or IOSH Managing Safely certification is required.
• The role requires 0 to 2 years of HSE experience.
• UAE construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of UAE federal labor laws, OSHAD frameworks, and OSHA or ISO standards is required.
• Strong English communication skills and MS Office reporting proficiency are required.
• Hindi or Urdu is a plus.
• Candidates must be based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.

Compensation

• Pay is listed as AED 2,071.75 to AED 4,000 per month.
