Corpay is hiring a Junior Risk Analyst within its Risk division and Cross-Border line of business in Toronto, Ontario.
The role monitors settlement exposures, reviews exceptions, supports credit underwriting, identifies financial risks, and maintains risk reporting.
The analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Operational Risk & Controls and collaborates with multiple stakeholders.
Workplace and support
- The role provides hoteling office space in Corpay’s Toronto office on King Street.

Responsibilities
- Review settlement limit exceptions, early release requests, and temporary overdrafts, ensuring documentation, approval, and escalation.
- Monitor settlement exposures, CLIAB balances, bounced payments, and outstanding funding positions.
- Support credit underwriting, annual reviews, and limit assessments through financial and transactional analysis.
- Prepare exception summaries and credit reviews identifying risks, mitigating factors, and recommended actions.
- Produce credit reports using Excel and SQL while supporting transition to Power BI.
- Validate Power BI reports against source systems and resolve data discrepancies.
- Maintain risk dashboards, trackers, manuals, reporting logic, training materials, and audit documentation.
- Support process enhancements, testing, data cleanup, and Credit Risk projects.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Credit Underwriting, and Treasury to resolve issues.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, risk management, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Up to two years of relevant experience in credit, risk, banking, payments, financial services, reporting, or analytics; internship and co-op experience are considered.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and assess liquidity, leverage, profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, and structured data analysis.
- Basic SQL knowledge for query writing, data extraction, and cross-source validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, judgment, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
Pay transparency
- The expected salary range is 50,000 CAD to 60,000 CAD based on the candidate’s work location.
- Final compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, market conditions, and other job-related factors.
- Additional compensation and benefits may include incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off.
