- Completed training on acceptability judgment experiments and EEG and/or MEG
- Excellent experimental and syntactic analysis skills
- Native or near native like ability in Jamaican Creole

Position Overview
- The Sprouse laboratory in the Program in Psychology, NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to work on the mechanisms underlying the syntax of Jamaican Creole.
- The successful applicant will work closely with the PI on a project on the syntactic structure of Jamaican Creole.
- The project will explore both the grammar and processing of long distance dependencies in Jamaican Creole.

- Work with the PI to design the experiments, develop the language materials, recruit participants (native speakers of Jamaican Creole), analyze the results, and prepare publications.
- Work with the PI and other members of the lab on any associated administrative tasks that help facilitate the project.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have completed a BA in Psychology at NYUAD, with any level of experience, or a master’s degree with less than 5 years of research experience.
