Job Purpose
Support procurement of materials, tools, hardware, consumables, and other requirements for carpentry, signage, and fabrication departments.
Ensure materials are purchased on time, at competitive prices, and according to project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive purchase requests from carpentry, signage, and fabrication teams.
- Source materials from approved suppliers and compare quotations.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow the company approval process.
- Follow up with suppliers on orders, deliveries, and urgent requirements.
- Coordinate requirements with factory, production, stores, and project teams.
- Check delivered materials against purchase orders, quantities, and specifications.
- Maintain procurement and supplier records.
- Monitor stock levels of commonly used materials and consumables.
- Assist with alternative suppliers and cost-saving options.
- Report delays, shortages, quality issues, and price changes.
- Maintain supplier relationships and follow company purchasing procedures.
Materials and Products
- Relevant materials include MDF, plywood, timber, veneer, laminates, edging, adhesives, hardware, and finishing materials.
- Signage materials include acrylic, PVC, aluminium composite panels, vinyl, LED modules, transformers, profiles, and accessories.
- Fabrication materials include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, sheets, pipes, profiles, welding consumables, and fasteners.
- The role also covers paints, chemicals, abrasives, tools, safety items, and workshop consumables.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- The role requires 1–2 years of procurement experience.
- Experience in carpentry, signage, fabrication, joinery, interior fit-out, or construction is preferred.
- Good MS Office and Excel knowledge, communication, negotiation, follow-up, and organizational skills are required.
- Good English communication and the ability to handle pressure and urgent production requirements are required.
Key Skills
- Supplier sourcing and coordination, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and purchase order preparation.
- Stock and delivery follow-up, cost awareness, time management, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 3,000 to QAR 5,000 per month.
Workplace
- The work location is in person.
