Junior/ Mid Platform Engineer

Your Impact

We’re looking for a curious and motivated Junior/ Mid Engineer to join our Technology team in Bowen Hills. This is a backend-focused opportunity for someone with around one to two years of commercial development experience who is keen to grow into a highly capable engineer over the long term.

You’ll work alongside experienced developers and technical leads, contributing to services and platforms that support Entain’s products. While technical foundations are important, we’re particularly interested in people who demonstrate curiosity, strong problem-solving ability, enthusiasm for learning and the potential to progress beyond a junior level.

Contribute to the design and implementation of efficient, scalable and robust solutions to suit project requirements.

Backend engineering to implement tasks using compiled languages (Golang/Python).

Data querying and manipulation using database technologies, including relational databases and nosql solutions (mongo).

Be active in team collaboration - issue resolution, code review, showcases, discussing solutions with other engineers, production of documentation.

Diagnose and triage errors using logging and metric tools – Loki logs, Grafana etc.

Frontend engineering to complete smaller tasks using JavaScript and associated libraries (React).
