Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Mechanical Designer / Draftsman based in Doha, Qatar.
The professional will be responsible for creating technical drawings, developing machine designs, and collaborating with the engineering team.
Day-to-day tasks will include utilizing CAD software for detailed design work, preparing documentation, and supporting research and development efforts to optimize design and fabrication processes.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all designs adhere to industry standards and meet client requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Knowledge of Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering principles
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) to improve designs and processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in drafting and design
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or a related field
- Familiarity with industry standards and practices in steel fabrication is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment
- Effective communication and organizational skills
