Junior Maintenance Technician - Dolly

Job Purpose

Responsibilities

• Plan daily tasks and maintain good housekeeping in workshops and other work areas.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing equipment, vehicle and plant faults to minimize downtime.
• Record completed work in log books and work orders for the Maintenance Management System.
• Follow safety procedures and report required spare parts and tools.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations, ISO requirements, safety standards and legal regulations.
• Inspect equipment, vehicles and plant for operational reliability and safety.
• Complete ULD repairs and assembly according to MOE, manufacturer recommendations, EASA and GCAA regulations.
• Assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, GPU, PCA, generator and other facility equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• A two-year trade certificate course in an engineering discipline is required.
• At least three years of maintenance experience in facilities, automotive, electrical, civil or mechanical work is required.

Additional Considerations

• Large maintenance organization experience, especially in aviation ground support or cargo handling, is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, automobile, air-conditioning or refrigeration systems is advantageous.
• Ground Support Equipment or heavy-vehicle maintenance experience is advantageous.
• Training in hydraulics, lifting equipment, conveyor systems, material handling equipment, PLCs, motor controls, traction batteries or chargers is advantageous.
• English communication ability, driving licenses and an equipment operating license may receive additional consideration.

Workplace
