Junior Environmental Scientist / Engineer in Training / Environmental Technologist
Play an integral role in Worley Consulting’s Environmental & Sustainability (E&S) practice, where technical expertise, environmental stewardship, and practical problem solving come together to help clients manage environmental liabilities, restore impacted sites, and support sustainable development.
As part of our Contaminated Sites team, you will contribute to projects that support remediation, decommissioning, reclamation, environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance across a diverse range of industries.
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career environmental professional to gain meaningful field experience, work alongside experienced environmental specialists, and build a rewarding career supporting projects that deliver measurable environmental outcomes for clients and communities.
Purpose of the role
As a Junior Environmental Scientist, Engineer in Training, or Environmental Technologist, you will support the delivery of environmental assessment, remediation, reclamation, decommissioning, and monitoring projects.
You will play an important role in collecting high-quality environmental data, supporting field investigations, and contributing to technical project deliverables that help clients meet regulatory obligations and environmental performance objectives.
Working collaboratively with environmental scientists, engineers, technologists, project managers, contractors, and clients, you will help deliver safe, efficient, and technically sound solutions while developing practical consulting experience and advancing your professional growth.
This is a full-time position based in Worley Consulting’s Edmonton or Calgary office.
The role includes frequent travel throughout Alberta and may involve assignments in the Northwest Territories and other northern or Arctic regions.
Field programs may require rotational schedules, remote-site work, extended travel, and work in challenging environmental conditions.
