Role Overview
• **Structural Analysis & Design:** Perform structural calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) for mass concrete, reinforced concrete (RCC), and steel structures subjected to water pressure, hydrodynamic forces, buoyancy, and seismic activities.
• **Hydraulic Infrastructure Design:** Engineering design for structures including:
• Water-retaining structures (reservoirs, water tanks, stilling basins).
• Conveyance infrastructure (intake structures, tunnels, aqueducts, culverts, major pipelines).
• Flood protection & control systems (dams, spillways, barrages, retaining walls, weirs).
• Utility facilities (pumping stations, water/wastewater treatment plant units).
• **Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:** Coordinate seamlessly with hydrologists and hydraulic engineers to align structural dimensions with flow rates, flood routing elevations, and sediment loads.
• **Technical Documentation:** Prepare comprehensive structural design reports, technical specifications, and detailed calculations for regulatory compliance and client approval.
• **Drawings & Modelling:** Supervise and review the creation of detailed 2D/3D engineering drawings, reinforcement schedules, and structural models.
• **Compliance & Standards:** Ensure all designs comply with international and local codes.
