Role Overview
The Junior ELV Technician assists with installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of ELV systems.
The role covers access control, CCTV, intercom, and low-voltage cabling infrastructure.
The technician supports senior technicians and is expected to learn new technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot access control and attendance systems.
- Identify, track, and remove abandoned cables.
- Test newly installed or relocated systems and cables according to established procedures.
- Keep cables neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards.
- Develop knowledge of National Building Codes and standards.
- Record time and materials used.
- Assist other team members with installation and maintenance work.
Technical Skills and Equipment
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and complete ELV systems is required.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.
- Familiarity with Honeywell Access Control, Honeywell WinPak, ZKTeco, or BioTime is advantageous.
Candidate Requirements
- Willingness to work on site, learn new technologies, and support senior technicians is required.
- Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn are required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, at heights, and in small confined spaces is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,000 to AED 3,000 per month, with salary and benefits based on industry standards.
Workplace
- Work location is in person and on site in Dubai.
- Work may take place outdoors, at heights, and in small confined spaces.
