Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, cortado
- Dial in espresso daily and adjust grind settings to maintain optimal extraction
- Steam and texture milk to specialty coffee standards and create basic latte art
- Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional experience
- Educate guests about coffee origins, brewing methods, flavor profiles, and menu offerings
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment
- Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies
- Follow opening and closing procedures accurately
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a coffee environment
- Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and manual brewing methods
- Basic latte art skills (heart, tulip, or Rosetta preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Fluent English (Required)
- Tagalog (Preferred)

Job Overview
- A passionate and customer focused Barista (Female) to join our team at Cafe Barbera, BurJuman Mall.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of coffee preparation, espresso extraction, milk texturing, and customer service.
- The barista will be responsible for delivering consistently high quality beverages while creating an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white, cortado.
- Dial in espresso daily and adjust grind settings to maintain optimal extraction.
- Perform accurate dosing, distribution, tamping, and extraction techniques.
- Steam and texture milk to specialty coffee standards and create basic latte art.
- Monitor coffee quality, taste beverages regularly, and maintain consistency.
- Welcome customers and provide a friendly, professional experience.
- Educate guests about coffee origins, brewing methods, flavor profiles, and menu offerings.
- Recommend beverages and food pairings based on customer preferences.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve concerns professionally.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other coffee equipment.
- Perform daily cleaning, backflushing, and preventive maintenance.
- Report equipment issues promptly to management.
Requirements
