Role Description
The Junior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah.
The role supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting operations and works with senior accountants.
Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger entries.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Prepare basic financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing.
- File documents properly and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor expense records.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment queries.
- Support audits and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong basic accounting, bookkeeping, financial data entry, general ledger, and reconciliation skills are required.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables, is required.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice handling, payment tracking, and collections support is required.
- Understanding of financial principles, reporting, and period-end closing is required.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organization, communication, and collaboration are required.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is relevant.
- Previous internship or 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience is advantageous.
- Saudi financial regulations and basic tax knowledge are a plus.
