Junior Accountant

Description of the Role: The Graduate Accountant supports a company's finance team by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance.

Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results Prepare sales invoices and follow up with payments Assist with tax audits and tax returns Maintain a proper filing system for accounting documents. Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing reports Compute taxes and prepare tax returns Ensure compliance with GAAP principles Liaise with Senior Accountant to improve financial procedures Degree in Accountancy Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with emphasis on UAE experience Previous work experience with Engineering Consultancy Firms Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software packages Advance MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
