Position Summary

Kitchen Operations

• Determine food presentation and create decorative food displays.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
• Monitor prepared food quantities and notify management when products do not meet specifications.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items and assist cooks with kitchen tasks.
• Inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Monitor kitchen supplies and food inventory.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and food products.

Team Supervision

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Provide cooks with the items and support needed to complete their work.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• Four to six years of related work experience is preferred.
