Jr. Sous Chef

Position Summary

Kitchen Responsibilities

• Monitor prepared food quantities and inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
• Prepare special meals or substitute items and assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
• Provide cooks with needed items and monitor kitchen supplies and food stock.
• Maintain kitchen logs for food safety programs and food products.
• Notify the manager when food products do not meet specifications.

People and Service Responsibilities

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Address guests’ service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
• Follow company, safety, and security policies and maintain quality standards.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• 4 to 6 years of related work experience is preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• No license or certification is specified.

Schedule and Workplace

• The position is full time.
• The role is not located remotely and is based at Shura Island, The Red Sea, Hanak, Saudi Arabia.
