Jr. Software Engineer

We are looking for passionate Jr. Software Engineers who want to help create amazing experiences for clients across the U.S. The ideal candidate is someone who is willing to put effort into learning new languages and tech stacks with minimal handholding. Our team is full of helpful and talented individuals who are willing to go learn quickly and apply themselves.

This role is a 1099 Independent Contractor position aimed at recent bootcamp graduates who are actively searching for their first Full Time position. AgencyOf helps bootcamp grads build their skills, resume and portfolio all while helping them actively job search while they work. Ideally, the candidate will spend ~6 months working with AgencyOf and be actively applying to their first FTE role. Leadership and fellow developers are resources for both resume/interview prep as well as references. Occasionally a FTE role opens up at AgencyOf and our contractors are selected for the role.

Contractors with AgencyOf are expected to work a minimum of 15hrs a week and are encouraged to work the full 40hrs. The position is fully remote, however any developers in the Kansas City metro are welcome to work out of the Overland Park office if they so desire. The position pays a base rate of $30/hr for the first six months with a rate increase to $35/hr. Some projects and longer-term contractors may see a higher hourly rate.

AgencyOf's client pool is diverse with many different needs and ongoing projects. Our tech stack is a product of this, therefore we have many different types of technology stacks. However, our base stack is ReactJS/Next.js/NodeJS with SASS/CSS and either some kind of relational database or RESTful API integration. Our developers are expected to be able to work within these stacks quickly.
