Sculptsoft is hiring a Jr. Data Engineer focused on scalable cloud data pipelines and data processing solutions.
The role supports analytics, reporting, data architecture, performance, security, and reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable pipelines using Azure Data Factory and equivalent AWS services.
- Work with Data Lakes, Lakehouse architectures, Delta Lake, and data warehouses across cloud platforms.
- Develop processing solutions with Apache Spark and PySpark.
- Build and maintain semantic models for analytics and reporting.
- Optimize SQL queries, transformations, and data models.
- Use Parquet and efficient storage and processing strategies.
- Apply Spark optimization techniques such as partitioning, caching, broadcast joins, shuffle optimization, and query tuning.
- Work with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Fabric, S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and EMR.
- Ensure pipeline data quality, performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
Must-have qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory.
- Strong Advanced SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or PySpark.
- Understanding of Data Lake, Lakehouse, Delta Lake, and Data Warehouse concepts.
