Role Purpose and Overview
Lead mechanical product projects from concept design through detailed drafting, fabrication, assembly, testing, and production launch.
Drive new development initiatives, resolve engineering challenges, and take project ownership with minimal supervision.
Collaborate frequently with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, external customers, manufacturers, and suppliers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering.
- Two years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
- Aerospace industry experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and independent problem-solving abilities.
Design and Development
- Create mechanical designs, mechanisms, assemblies, parts, and technical drawings.
- Build 3D models and 2D engineering drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD according to ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and design reviews.
- Optimize designs for weight, performance, cost, manufacturability, assembly, tooling, reliability, and automation.
