Overview
The Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer will resolve IT hardware and software infrastructure issues, provide system administration, and support new infrastructure projects.
Requires TS/SCI security clearance, Security+ certification, and experience with VMware, servers, and Linux.
Responsibilities
- Resolves IT hardware and software infrastructure issues.
- Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure.
- Establishes and maintains security as it relates to users.
- Applies security patches and operating system upgrades.
- Supports new infrastructure projects.
- Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
- Conducts general system troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Understands and adheres to change management protocols.
- Implements and manages service monitoring across multiple networks.
- Oversees and maximizes virtual machine operations.
- Utilizes Linux command line prompts and Linux system administration.
- Provides help-desk support to all members of the unit.
Requirements
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Security+ certification.
