Responsibilities
- Oversee the day to day operations of the joinery workshop, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Manage and mentor workshop teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies
- Review drawings and specifications, provide technical guidance, optimize material usage, and ensure accurate fabrication and finishing of joinery items
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, and suppliers, maintain workshop equipment, track inventory, and support continuous improvement in processes and workmanship
Requirements
- Strong background in joinery, carpentry, or woodworking, with hands on workshop experience in high quality interior fit out
- Proven experience managing a joinery or fabrication workshop, including planning, resource allocation, and production control
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
- Experience leading diverse teams, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback
- Solid understanding of joinery materials, machinery, tools, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and best practices in workshop operations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets) and familiarity with production or project management software is an advantage
- Previous experience in interior fit out projects within residential, commercial, hotel, or leisure sectors is preferred
- Relevant technical qualification or diploma in carpentry, joinery, or a related construction discipline is desirable

Role Description
- This is a full time, on site Joinery Workshop Manager role based in Dubai.
- The Joinery Workshop Manager will oversee the day to day operations of the joinery workshop, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- This role will manage and mentor workshop teams, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
- The manager will review drawings and specifications, provide technical guidance, optimize material usage, and ensure accurate fabrication and finishing of joinery items.
- The role will also involve liaising with project managers, site teams, and suppliers, maintaining workshop equipment, tracking inventory, and supporting continuous improvement in processes and workmanship.
