Job Description – Master data Administrator

Role Purpose

Catalogue and Product Master Data

• Create, update, validate, archive, and audit product records.
• Maintain product identifiers, descriptions, categories, attributes, dimensions, weights, images, pricing, VAT, regulatory information, and product status.
• Maintain a complete history and archive of catalogue changes.

Excel and Google Sheets

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets capability is a critical and mandatory requirement.
• Use XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF functions, Pivot Tables, validation, duplicate identification, CSV files, and data-cleansing functions.
• Power Query and Google Sheets query and import functions are strongly preferred or preferred, respectively.

Data Quality and Onboarding

• Validate new product information and ensure mandatory fields are complete before publication.
• Verify barcodes and supplier codes, resolve duplicate SKUs, standardise naming and classifications, and investigate discrepancies.
• Collect supplier and Buying data, create new products, coordinate missing information, and track products through publication.

Uploads and Sales Channels

• Prepare, validate, execute, and troubleshoot mass-upload files and rejected records.
• Coordinate with Technology, ERP, WMS, Ecommerce, and Marketplace teams on system issues.
• Prepare and maintain product data for Avnzor channels, Amazon, Noon, Trendyol, and other marketplaces.

Classification, Pricing, and Reporting

• Maintain category hierarchy, product taxonomy, attributes, navigation, filtering, search, and merchandising data.
• Maintain cost prices, recommended retail prices, selling prices, promotional files, and approved price-change records.
• Prepare reports and dashboards covering catalogue activity, completeness, uploads, pricing, categories, suppliers, and data-quality issues.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with Buying, Category Management, Suppliers, Ecommerce, Marketplace, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Technology teams.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Management, Supply Chain, Ecommerce, or a related discipline.
• Two to four years of relevant experience in master data, catalogue management, product information management, ecommerce operations, buying support, or commercial administration.
• Experience with large catalogues, datasets of at least 20,000 to 50,000 records, mass-upload files, and ERP, PIM, WMS, Shopify, or ecommerce platforms.
• Retail, ecommerce, pharmacy, healthcare, wellness, FMCG, or consumer-products experience is preferred.

Required Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, strong data analysis and reconciliation, attention to detail, numerical capability, organisation, and problem solving.
• English proficiency is required; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
• Shortlisted candidates may complete a practical Excel or Google Sheets assessment.
