Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, record journal entries, and perform bank and account reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and following up on outstanding balances
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax laws, including registering for VAT, preparing, and filing tax returns, and providing tax planning advice
- Assist in creating budgets, analyzing variances, and forecasting future financial performance
- Coordinate with and support internal and external auditors, and assist in preparing for audits
- Perform and oversee the month end and year end closing processes
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for decision making and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in accounting (local/abroad)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, financial modeling)
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
- Understanding of IFRS
