Role Overview
Java Lead Engineer role at Vice President level within Finance Operations and Risk Technology.
The position manages, develops, and designs Java applications and serves as a principal software engineering role supporting business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Java applications using enterprise web-development, database, framework, integration, and cloud technologies.
- Own new platform development while following group standards and advancing GenAI adoption, usability, cloud adoption, and user experience.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, and continuous improvement of Agile development practices.
- Coordinate with offshore development and QA teams, infrastructure groups, vendors, and support teams.
What You’ll Bring
- At least ten years of hands-on Java EE and core Java experience with strong leadership qualities.
- Experience with web services, REST, Kafka, service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration.
- Database design and SQL proficiency, plus strong experience with Spring, JUnit, BDD, or comparable development and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, technical design translation, large-team collaboration, and system integration or infrastructure problem solving.
- GenAI agentic tool or other GenAI tooling awareness or experience.
