Morgan Stanley is hiring a Java Lead Engineer at Vice President level for its Finance Operations and Risk Technology team.
The role is part of the software engineering job family and focuses on developing software solutions that support business needs.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Java-based applications.
- Own complete development of new platforms using established best practices and group standards.
- Drive generative AI adoption, usability, cloud adoption, and user experience for the platform.
- Contribute across requirements analysis, design, development, and Agile process improvement.
- Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, vendor, and support teams.
What you will bring
- At least 10 years of hands-on Java EE and core Java experience with strong leadership qualities.
- Experience with REST web services, Kafka, and service-oriented architecture.
- Expertise in object-oriented design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration.
- Working knowledge of database design and SQL.
- Experience with Spring, JUnit, BDD, and automated testing.
- Experience with Unix/Linux and strong technical problem-solving skills.
